I first painted pottery when my daughter was 6 weeks old. She was so tiny I wanted some way to remember how little she was. We made a clock and mug’s for family with her foot prints on. These items are cherished now as she is nearly 4. We went back and did more for special events and I got hooked. After the birth of my second I did not want to go back to work but wanted something that fitted in around family life, so decided with the support of family and friends to have a go at pottery painting based from home.
I started in September 2010 and have been busier than I could have ever dreamed. It is such a fun activity for 6 months onwards. Babies can create artwork for mum and dad to keep, children love being creative and this is a, not so messy way, to do that and they get something to keep at the end. It is also a really good children party activity or nursery of school activity, we can plan an event to support whatever you are planning on running.
I can also now do much larger items for weddings signature plates or for a birthday or retirement gift.
